In July, LCA and a representative from Mayianat Conservancy participated in the Kasigau REDD+ Exchange Learning Workshop. The two-day event was hosted by the Kasigau REDD+ Carbon Project and facilitated by ILEPA, bringing together community representatives from across Kenya including Narok (MMWCA), Chyulu Hills, Kalama (Samburu), Kaptuya (Baringo), and Mikoko Pamoja (Pwani).

Knowledge Sharing & Field Learning
Day one featured presentations where the Kasigau team shared the successes, challenges, and evolution of their REDD+ project. Participants also shared their own carbon project experiences, receiving valuable feedback and exchanging insights with peers.
Day two included a field visit to see firsthand how Wildlife Works has implemented projects funded by carbon revenue providing practical context to the discussions and inspiring ideas for other community-driven Carbon projects.
The workshop was a meaningful platform for peer learning, fostering new connections and strengthening understanding of what it takes to build and sustain successful carbon projects in Kenya.
