  • Increased sightings of African painted wild dogs in Lekurruki and Ilngwesi Conservancies

  • High concentration of wild dog packs observed around Mukogodo Forest, establishing a key baseline for future monitoring

  • Estimated population of approximately 300 gerenuk individuals recorded over the quarter, indicating a strong baseline presence despite historically low detection rates

  • Caracal sightings recorded in Naibunga Upper Conservancy, contributing important data on this rare and solitary species


Human-Wildlife Conflict reported cases;

1. Predation

  • Predation incidents recorded around Olmaisor, establishing a key conflict hotspot for future monitoring

  • Lion pride identified as a major cause of livestock loss, with attacks occurring as early as 1700 hours

  • A rare predation incident recorded where a crested eagle killed a lamb



Mortality Data:

  • 4 elephant mortalities recorded in addition to 

  • Common Zebra (Birthing Complication).

  • Predation related deaths 

  • Natural deaths




Crop and Fence Damage
