LCA is making great strides in the development of its Data Hub Dashboard, a central platform designed to consolidate and streamline information from member conservancies and other key stakeholders. This will enable evidence-based decision-making, improve forecasting, and strengthen communication of conservation impact across the Laikipia landscape.
Key Progress Highlights
MoUs Signed: 22 conservancies (exceeding the target of 19)
Data Digitization: 22 out of 31 conservancies now digitizing data via Google Forms
Data Streaming: 19 out of 17 ( Target exceeded) conservancies successfully linked to the EarthRanger Hub
Platform Integration: SMART data now syncing seamlessly with EarthRanger
Dashboard Development: Esri licenses secured, with development underway
Why the Data Hub Matters
The LCA Data Hub is not just a technical tool; it is a landscape-wide resource that integrates environmental, social, and economic data. Its purpose is to:
Support landscape decision-making and planning
Enable research coordination across conservancies and partners
Strengthen monitoring, evaluation, and intervention strategies
Influence policy development at county and national levels
Communicate and amplify conservation impact
Provide evidence for resource mobilization efforts
